Best Season for a planning road trip

From November to March is usually the best time to visit Goa. During this time, the weather temperature of Mumbai and Goa both stays around 28-32 degree Celsius which is perfect for a road trip. Off-Season or On-season

If you are a party lover and love hopping in and around the crowd, then visiting 

Goa on-season ( October to March) would be a good idea. You can enjoy beach parties, heavy shopping, musical events during this time. It becomes difficult to find a good Hotel in Goa during On-Season, so book it in advance.

 But if you want to enjoy beautiful, calm and silent nature, it would be better for you to visit Goa off-season only. You can get the best accommodation easily without even advance booking during this season.

Two Major routes to Goa from Mumbai

NH4 ( Pune- Kolhapur Route) and NH 17 ( Ratnagiri-Konkan Route) are two major routes to Goa from Mumbai. You can choose which route suits you and your group of friends. 

  • NH4 is considered as a perfect route for family trips as roads in this route are smooth and four-lane. You can stop over Satara and Kolhapur to visit Rankala lake, Jyotiba Temple and Panhala Fort.  
  • NH17 or NH66 route is also a beautiful and scenic route but is longer than NH 4 route. You can stop over Ganpatipule, Karnala Bird Sanctuary (Panvel), and Ratnagiri. Ratnagiri is famous for Alphonso mangoes. If you are travelling during the mango season, don’t forget to relish it.
